(GLO)- In order to promote the transfer of scientific and technical advances to the people, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Gia Lai has just issued Decision No. 207/QD-SNNPTNT on assigning the task of approving the 2023 agricultural extension plan estimate to the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center.

Accordingly, in 2023, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center will implement 7 local agricultural extension models including: growing medicinal plants; converting ineffective rice land to growing chili and biomass corn; aircraft spraying pesticides; straw rolling machines; crossbreeding and improving high-quality cattle herds and raising fish in cages in hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs.
In addition, 10 training courses were organized to transfer scientific and technical advances to farmers and 2 study tours to models in the province and printed propaganda documents on passion fruit production according to VietGAP standards, how to identify and prevent viral leaf diseases on cassava plants and animal diseases.
The total estimated budget for implementing the models is more than 2.1 billion VND, of which the state budget supports more than 1.6 billion VND and people contribute more than 516 million VND.
