Improve packaging, create highlights
Since 2013, Mr. Nong Van Binh's family in Chao village, An Lap commune has opened a rice noodle production facility. The advantage of noodles made from Bao Thai rice grown in the highlands is that the noodles are chewy, rich in flavor, and much tastier than noodles made from other types of rice. Last November, Mr. Binh's family's noodle products were certified as 3-star OCOP.
The OCOP product evaluation and classification council of Son Dong district checks product packaging.
He shared that before developing the OCOP product, his family made 500 kg of rice, equivalent to 400 kg of noodles, every day. The products were sold as soon as they were made. After being certified as OCOP, the information spread widely so many customers from far away provinces contacted him to place orders. Therefore, his family renovated the drying yard, expanded the production area, and used a noodle making machine with a capacity of 100 kg of rice/hour to meet customer demand. Regarding packaging, he improved the appearance on both nylon and printed paper, clearly stating the origin and QR code so that customers can easily look up product information.
Thanks to the development of a stable source of raw materials and attention to improving quality and design, Thanh Luan bamboo shoots of the Tay Yen Tu Purple Ba Kich Cooperative in Thanh Luan Commune have recently been awarded 3 stars by the OCOP Classification Council of the district. Although initial success has been achieved, the Cooperative continues to innovate products in the direction of professionalization, meeting the needs of market expansion, gradually achieving export goals.
Thanh Luan bamboo shoots products achieve 3-star OCOP.
Currently, the Cooperative has begun to change its logo, improve packaging, labels, and product packaging in a modern, professional manner. Vacuum-packed products help preserve them for a long time and facilitate transportation. Currently, the Cooperative is investing more funds to make paper boxes to package the products, making it easier for customers to buy them as gifts.
Since the beginning of the year, the OCOP product evaluation and classification council of Son Dong district has certified 6 products as 3 stars, completing the set plan; bringing the total number of 3-star OCOP products of the district to 20 products.
It is known that since the beginning of the year, the OCOP Product Evaluation Council of Son Dong district has certified 3 stars for 6 products, completing the set plan, bringing the total number of 3-star products in the district to 20. Many products with names and positions in the market are protected by the Intellectual Property Office such as: Son Dong forest honey, Nhu Bao leaf yeast wine, Tay Yen Tu leaf yeast wine, Son Dong green lim mushroom, etc. The owners of the above products are interested in hiring consulting units to design packaging, leaflets, billboards... with attractive forms and content, highlighting the meaning, value, uses as well as instructions for use, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the products in the market.
Digital Marketing
In recent times, Son Dong district has focused on directing and implementing many activities to support people in developing OCOP products. Closely following the local socio-economic development goals and plans, especially for communes in the new rural area plan, every year, the district's specialized departments guide and support people in developing OCOP products. With certified products, the district continues to advise and guide new entities to improve production processes and create sustainable sources of raw materials. At the same time, it focuses on bringing products to the market through many sales "channels", especially on digital platforms.
Some products participate in OCOP classification assessment.
In fact, there are some cooperatives in the area that have effectively promoted the sale and introduction of products on digital platforms. Mr. Hoang Van Thien, Director of Thien Loi Agricultural Cooperative, whose two products, khau nhuc and braised pork with tau so, have achieved 3 stars, shared: “I regularly post images and videos online about the process of preparing ingredients and processing products to promote and attract customers. On average, each live video broadcast has 150-500 viewers, many of whom then text to order products.”
According to Mr. Le Duc Thang, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, after many re-evaluations, the district has no products that have lost stars or been downgraded. The locality is striving to have at least 5 products recognized as 3-star OCOP or higher by 2025; in the period of 2025 - 2030, develop 30-35 new products, including 5 products achieving 4-star provincial level. The district will continue to guide and support entities to standardize production processes and provide full information on packaging. Invite online sales experts to help promote products at livestream sessions, participate in fairs and exhibitions in and outside the province. Guide cooperatives and production facilities to both invest in perfecting traditional products and researching and producing new products to meet market demand...
