The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to departments, districts, and businesses participating in the market stabilization program to strengthen measures to manage and regulate pork prices.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the provinces and cities supplying live pigs to Ho Chi Minh City to grasp the situation, thereby having a plan and source of live pigs for the city. At the same time, there should be no shortage of goods or interruption of goods causing unreasonable price increases.
In case of detecting a shortage of supply, the Department of Industry and Trade will promptly advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on solutions to stabilize the market.
Encourage pork suppliers and distributors participating in the market stabilization program to try to keep prices stable in the coming time.
Units strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of hoarding and smuggling of goods of unknown origin, especially live pigs.
