Summary of emulation covenants of the Southeast provinces

Attending the conference were Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang and leaders of 7 provinces in the Southeast region: Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc.

Provincial leaders, Provincial People's Committee Office, Emulation and Reward Board of provinces in the Southeast region attended the conference.

2024 is the 4th year of implementing the 5-year plan 2021-2025, also a year of acceleration and breakthrough, of special significance, deciding the completion of socio-economic development targets for the period 2021-2025, creating a premise to strive to implement the 5-year plan 2026-2030. Therefore, with the spirit of "Solidarity, discipline - Courage, flexibility - Innovation, creativity - Timeliness, efficiency", the Party Committee, government and people of the 7 provinces in the cluster have strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, synchronously and effectively implement the set goals, tasks and solutions, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of each locality, creating many outstanding marks.

It is noteworthy that the GRDP economic growth rate of the provinces in the cluster grew quite well, reaching an average of over 8.6%. Total local budget revenue reached nearly 271 trillion VND. Export turnover reached nearly 92 billion USD. Domestic investment attraction reached approximately 690 billion VND; foreign investment attraction reached nearly 37 billion USD. The economic structure of the provinces in the cluster continued to shift in the right direction, in line with the potential and strengths of each province. Administrative reform, digital transformation, and anti-corruption work were promoted. In addition, emulation and reward work was implemented promptly and seriously, ensuring compliance with legal regulations; focusing on implementing key emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister; reward work in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands was given attention, contributing positively to the overall socio-economic development of the whole country.

Binh Phuoc received the Government's Emulation Flag for excellently and comprehensively completing its tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2023.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy, Head of the emulation cluster, emphasized: With a high sense of responsibility and the tradition of hard work of the people of the Southeast region, each member of the cluster will continue to promote, join hands, enthusiastically compete, determined to successfully complete the assigned tasks in 2025 and the following years, making the Southeast region a civilized, modern, internationally integrated region in the spirit of Resolution No. 24 dated October 7, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Also at the conference, leaders of the provinces in the cluster had a frank exchange to clarify the results achieved in the past time, and at the same time shared experiences and practical lessons in socio-economic development and emulation and reward work. Thereby, proposing contents and solutions for implementation in the coming time, as a basis for launching the emulation movement and signing the emulation covenant in 2025./.
