Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and Central Military Commission, General Secretary To Lam commended the 490th Missile Brigade for its efforts in training and combat readiness to meet requirements and tasks.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Artillery Corps is one of the earliest branches in the Vietnam People's Army, playing the role of the main attack and technical branch, and at the same time being the main firepower force of our army and army.
With a long and glorious history, the Artillery Corps has achieved many glorious feats, contributing significantly to the victories of the nation.
In particular, artillery is associated with resounding campaigns such as Dien Bien Phu, Khe Sanh, Quang Tri, Con Tien, Doc Mieu..., becoming a symbol of strength and pride. When mentioning Vietnamese artillery, many enemies' hearts beat faster and their legs tremble.
As a key unit in the Artillery Corps, over the years, Missile Brigade 490 has always thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines, viewpoints, policies, the State's policies and laws, and assigned tasks.
The unit has promoted the spirit of initiative and creativity, effectively organized and carried out tasks, and achieved many outstanding achievements in all aspects of work.
After the on-site inspection, General Secretary To Lam expressed his confidence and trust in the combat readiness, determination to win, courage and willingness to sacrifice for the Fatherland and the people of the brigade's officers and soldiers.
The General Secretary warmly commended and praised the great achievements the unit has made in recent years.
To successfully complete the assigned tasks in the new period, General Secretary To Lam requested the Artillery Corps and Missile Brigade 490 to continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the resolutions of the 11th Army Party Congress, the resolutions and directives of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, to concretize and effectively implement them in the Artillery Corps and brigades.
Officers and soldiers need to grasp the requirements and targets of combat, clearly understand the responsibilities and tasks of the unit and individual, and at the same time deeply understand the high requirements in the task of protecting the Fatherland.
On that basis, each soldier must have high determination, sense of responsibility and strive to excellently complete all tasks, whether regular or unexpected.
Political and ideological education work must be carried out regularly and continuously, associated with setting an example for cadres, thoroughly imbuing the spirit of "people first, guns later" to build a strong fighting spirit for soldiers.
Taking the spirit of "Dien Bien Phu in the air" as a guiding principle in training, each missile must be considered the "magic crossbow" arrow of the era, ready to deliver a powerful punishment to any enemy that invades the Fatherland's sky.

General Secretary To Lam also requested to take advantage of every opportunity to continuously improve the overall quality, level, combat readiness and combat capability of the Artillery Corps in a revolutionary, standardized, elite and modern direction.
Build the 490th Missile Brigade to be comprehensively strong, exemplary, and typical, to excellently complete assigned tasks; to be truly worthy of being the main firepower of the army and the main ground firepower of our army.
Focus on improving the quality of training and combat readiness in accordance with the motto and principles with the determination to win every battle; attach importance to synchronous and specialized training in a modern direction, focusing on practice, and skillfully using technical equipment and weapons in the establishment, especially new technical equipment and weapons.
Strengthening field training, night training, long-distance mobility, movement, displacement, training on new terrain, close to the mission, target, area, combat plan; good at camouflage, deception to hide forces and vehicles; training in preventing and countering UAVs and avoiding and countering fire attacks.
Research on the application of information technology and digital transformation in training and troop management, build databases in training management and operation; pay attention to ensuring the confidentiality of equipment, technical means, communications, combat plans, and new weapons.
Perfect and build the organization and staff in the direction of being lean, compact, strong, mobile, flexible, suitable to our military art, weapons, equipment and fighting style.
Improve the quality of regular construction, maintain strict discipline; take care to ensure good living conditions for soldiers, policies for officers and soldiers, and policies for the military rear.
On the basis of effective exploitation and mastery of technical equipment, it is necessary to focus on improving and enhancing the quality of technical equipment, maintaining it well, using it durably, safely and economically to meet the requirements of performing assigned tasks.
General Secretary To Lam also emphasized the need to regularly take care of building the Brigade Party Committee to successfully and excellently complete its tasks. To effectively carry out the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, and the campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period.
Continue to improve the comprehensive leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Brigade Party Committee and Party organizations in the unit. Build a contingent of cadres and Party members who are truly exemplary vanguards, who practice what they preach; cadres and soldiers with steadfast political will, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; have good moral qualities, good technical and tactical skills, and are always ready to receive and complete assigned tasks well.
With the glorious tradition of "being proactive, proactive, and comprehensively progressive" and the outstanding achievements over the past nearly 43 years, General Secretary To Lam expressed his belief that the 490th Missile Brigade will continue to promote its mettle and successfully and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
