The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will take place on the semi-realistic stage along the Perfume River on the evening of March 25, live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and broadcast on many radio and television stations in provinces and cities across the country.

The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 with an art program themed "Love confession of the river" and a brilliant fireworks display on the stage on the banks of the Perfume River, in front of Quoc Hoc School, Hue city.
The program brings viewers to enjoy stories about famous rivers in regions of the country, unique cultural features in each land.
The idea of the script also wants to convey the message that rivers flow into the ocean, symbolizing the country's integration and development, rising up in the new era.
National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 and Hue Festival 2025 are typical cultural-economic-social and tourism events of national and international scale associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue city (1975-2025) and other major holidays and anniversaries of the whole country; responding to and welcoming Hue becoming a city directly under the Central Government.

There will be 75 major national and international events taking place in Hue city throughout the National Tourism Year 2025, focusing on the Spring Festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital", the Summer Festival "Shining Imperial City", the Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn" and the Winter Festival "Hue Winter" following the orientation of the local 4-season Festival.
Director of Hue City Department of Tourism Tran Thi Hoai Tram informed that the National Tourism Year 2025 is expected to help the city welcome 5.25 - 5.5 million visitors; of which, domestic visitors account for about 70-80%.
Revenue is estimated at 11,000 - 12,000 billion VND. Thereby, the locality hopes to regain growth momentum, striving to welcome about 12 million visitors by 2030.
To be ready to welcome a large number of tourists to Hue this year, accommodation establishments have been and are making detailed preparations, from supplying and reserving raw materials, increasing services, and renovating facilities.
On this occasion, Hue will focus on repositioning products to suit the trend. Some new, creative experiential services associated with local advantages will also be introduced such as Hue - Capital of Ao Dai, Hue - Capital of Cuisine, Hue - City of Festivals.
The exploitation of cultural industries from heritage will be focused on serving many tourist market segments. Typically, live shows, Ao Dai performances, arts associated with heritage, and Hue Royal Court Music will become periodic tourism products of the city, contributing to unlocking resources and exploiting more effectively the potential, strengths, and distinct advantages of the city to create a breakthrough in tourism development, attracting more domestic and international tourists, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
