According to the report of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, from the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak to the end of August 14, 2023, the whole province recorded 108,596 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2. Of which, 108,442 cases have been cured and discharged from the hospital, 5 cases are being treated, 39 cases were transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and 110 cases died.
In August 2023 alone (from July 15, 2023 to August 15, 2023), the whole province recorded 20 cases of COVID-19.
Following the direction of the health sector, the Center for Disease Control continues to deploy COVID-19 vaccination campaigns for people aged 18 and over. As of August 15, 2023, the number of vaccines administered was 2,881,748 doses.
Of which, at least 1 dose is given to 99.91% of the population over 18 years old in Ninh Binh province, 100% of the population from 12 to under 17 years old and 99.99% of the population from 5 to under 12 years old; 2 doses are given to 99.40% of the population over 18 years old in Ninh Binh province, 100% of the population from 12 to under 17 years old and 88.13% of the population from 5 to under 12 years old.
The third injection for subjects over 18 years old in Ninh Binh reached 94.11%, the subjects from 12 to under 17 years old reached 79.75%. The fourth injection for subjects over 18 years old in Ninh Binh reached 100%. The booster injection for subjects receiving additional injections was given to 226,900 people.
To proactively take measures to prevent and control COVID-19, the Center for Disease Control directs the Medical Centers of districts and cities to strengthen supervision and closely monitor the epidemic situation in the area; proactively respond to possible epidemic situations. Strengthen supervision at medical facilities and in the community to promptly detect cases and outbreaks and handle them promptly, preventing the disease from spreading to the community.
