Resolution 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo identifies digital transformation of healthcare as part of a breakthrough strategy for science, technology and innovation development. The resolution sets a goal that by 2030, Vietnam will be among the top 50 countries in the world in digital competitiveness and e-Government development, with smart healthcare as a pillar.

In particular, the Resolution clearly states the need to increase investment in digital infrastructure: develop synchronous, safe, and effective information technology infrastructure, especially in the healthcare sector to support data management and online services.

Mastering strategic technology: promoting research and application of AI, big data and IoT in healthcare, towards technological autonomy and international competitiveness.

Public-private partnership: encourage the participation of private enterprises such as Vietsens and Aequitas in implementing digital transformation projects, creating momentum for socio-economic development.

However, reality shows that infrastructure and human resources for medical information technology are still limited and have not received due attention, especially in rural areas.

To solve this problem, on March 4, in Hanoi, Vietsens Technology Group and Aequitas Joint Stock Company (a member of VTX Group) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation in the healthcare sector in Vietnam.

Accordingly, this cooperation focuses on combining software development, deployment, and operation to provide the most complete and comprehensive service for digital transformation of hospitals and medical facilities.

Specifically: deploying an open source hospital information system (HIS) and software to serve the management of medical examination and treatment. Continuing to improve, upgrade and develop new features, HIS products, EMR, room-going applications... to keep up with market demand.

Applying artificial intelligence and big data analysis to support diagnosis, treatment and hospital management more effectively; Training digital medical personnel for medical facilities through the implementation and transfer process to build a medical staff team ready for the digital era.

Building and developing an increasingly strong open source medical community helps mobilize resources and intelligence of the community to perfect and develop high-quality and reasonably priced open source medical products.

The two sides committed that immediately after the agreement, they will begin working with medical facilities, the Ministry of Health, and Project 06, with the goal of deploying the system to at least 50 hospitals in 2025.
