Vietnamese is supported in the live translation function on Samsung Galaxy S24

At the Galaxy S24 smartphone launch event, Samsung introduced a new live AI translation experience, supporting 13 languages, including Vietnamese.

A new feature on the Samsung Galaxy S24 allows users to make live calls with people who speak other languages, then receive live translations using audio and on-screen characters.

The Galaxy S24 is Samsung’s first smartphone to feature on-device AI with synthetic AI built into the device. This is why it is called the “AI Phone”.

Accordingly, just press the English - Vietnamese AI translation setting button, what the user says in English will be converted to Vietnamese and vice versa. Notably, the phone will automatically perform the translation function without needing an Internet connection.

This new feature will also automatically remember the user’s language settings, as well as the language used by the owner of the phone number in the contact list. Therefore, users do not need to update their language settings before each call. This is very useful for people who often make international calls, as well as those who travel abroad frequently.

Samsung notes that users can also choose communication styles that are appropriate for different contexts, such as “casual” for friends or “formal” for social or business conversations.
