Midfielder Hai Long received nearly 500 million VND in rewards from his hometown of Quang Ninh

(NLDO)- Quang Ninh province met and awarded midfielder Hai Long, who scored an emotional goal against the Thai team in the final match.

On January 9, Quang Ninh province held a meeting to reward midfielder Nguyen Hai Long, who played excellently in the Vietnam National Team to win the 2024 ASEAN Cup.

Quang Ninh Provincial leaders presented a Certificate of Merit and bonus to player Nguyen Hai Long.

At the ceremony, midfielder Nguyen Hai Long received a certificate of merit and a reward of 350 million VND from Quang Ninh province for his excellent achievement in winning the Gold Medal at the Southeast Asian Football Championship (ASEAN Cup 2024).

Previously, Tien Yen district (Quang Ninh province) also held a meeting and awarded more than 30 million VND to this Tien Yen player. He was also awarded 100 million VND by Quang Ninh Football Club.

Thus, after the victory of the Vietnamese team at the ASEAN Cup 2024, midfielder Hai Long has received nearly 500 million VND in rewards from his hometown of Quang Ninh.

Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long (born in 2000, from Tien Yen district, Quang Ninh province) played excellently and scored many beautiful goals for Than Quang Ninh when he was playing in the V-League. Currently, Hai Long is playing for Hanoi FC. Thanks to the process of training and maturing in a professional playing environment, Hai Long was called up to the National Team and shined at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

Hai Long scored two important goals in this tournament. That was the opening goal, breaking the deadlock in the second half of the opening match against Laos and the goal from the middle of the field, setting the score at 3-2 at the end of the second half of the second leg of the Final against Thailand at Rajamangala, confirming Vietnam's convincing victory over Thailand.
