On the morning of July 16, the People's Committee of Ea Sup district organized a ceremony to present certificates of merit and rewards to many groups and individuals for their contributions in arresting three wanted criminals in the attack on the commune headquarters in Dak Lak that occurred in the early morning of June 11, causing many casualties.
Rewarded 3 groups including Ea Sup District Police, Ea Le Commune Police and Ea Le Commune People's Committee; 12 individuals who are officers of Ea Sup District Police and Ea Le Commune Police.
Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van spoke at the unexpected commendation ceremony.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and Secretary of Ea Sup District Party Committee praised and encouraged the spirit of the collectives and individuals who had made achievements in arresting the above 3 subjects.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Van also conveyed congratulations and commendation from Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to the above forces.
On behalf of the leaders of Ea Sup district, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van presented 15 million VND to 3 groups that had contributed to the capture of the wanted criminals. In addition, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Ea Le commune also awarded the police force of this commune 5 million VND.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van said that the capture of the three subjects was a special achievement, contributing to the suppression of the subjects who attacked the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes.
"We are still continuously directing the authorities not to neglect their duties and to be ready to arrest the remaining suspects in the attack on the Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur commune headquarters at any time," Mr. Van affirmed.
As reported by VietNamNet, in the early morning of June 11, a group of dozens of people used guns, petrol bombs... to attack the headquarters of two communes, Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district.
The attack left four police officers, the Ea Ktur Commune Party Secretary and the Ea Tieu Commune Chairman dead; three civilians dead and two police officers seriously injured. In addition, they also burned down the offices and destroyed many other properties of the two commune headquarters.
Immediately after the incident, the Ministry of Public Security directed Dak Lak Provincial Police and related forces to quickly arrest the group of subjects.
As of July 16, the police have prosecuted and detained more than 90 people related to the above incident. The above subjects have been prosecuted for the crimes of: "Terrorism against the people's government"; "Failure to report crimes" and "Organizing and brokering for others to illegally exit, enter or stay in Vietnam".
Dak Lak Provincial Police also issued special arrest warrants for 6 suspects related to the case, including: Nay Duong (55 years old), Nay Yen (52 years old) and Nay Tam (49 years old), all residing in Cu Pong commune, Krong Buk district.
Y Ju Nie (55 years old, residing in Buon Kang, Ea Knuec, Krong Pak); Y Hual E Ban (53 years old, residing in Ea Map village, Ea Pok town, Cu M'gar district) and Y Khing Lieng (31 years old, residing in Hoa Son commune, Krong Bong district).
Previously, all 6 of these people were prosecuted by Dak Lak Provincial Police for the crime of "Terrorism against the people's government".
By the afternoon of July 15, the police force had arrested 3 suspects while they were hiding in a hut in village 11 (Ea Le commune, Ea Sup district), including: Nay Yen, Nay Tam and Y Ju Nie.
