Simexco Daklak and MISS EDE signed a cooperation agreement on the export coffee supply chain that meets the European Union's non-encroachment certificate (EUDR).

On the afternoon of March 11, within the framework of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, EDE Farm Trading and Service Company Limited (MISS EDE) and Dak Lak 2/9 Import-Export One Member Limited Liability Company (Simexco Daklak) held a press conference and signed a long-term cooperation commitment between Simexco Daklak and MISS EDE on the export coffee supply chain that meets the European Union's non-encroachment certificate (EUDR).
This event is a continuation of the second 5-year memorandum of understanding on the supply chain of raw coffee meeting sustainable standards 4C, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance between Simexco Dak Lak and MISS EDE. At the same time, it aims to meet the most stringent import regulations currently for coffee products into the markets of countries in the European Union (EU).

Simexco Dak Lak and MISS EDE have agreed to continue long-term cooperation on the commitment to build a raw coffee supply chain to produce MISS EDE brand coffee with full EUDR certification for the purpose of importing finished coffee products into the EU market from 2025.
Simexco Dak Lak commits to fully meet the output and cultivation area data clearly identified by data verified by 4C-EUDR and Rainforest Alliance-EUDR certificates (when completed) for MISS EDE when receiving orders aiming to export to the EU market.
MISS EDE is committed to fully complying with the legal regulations of each certificate to ensure the provision of complete information on the exact raw material area provided by Simexco Dak Lak to serve the retrieval of EUDR information for consumers and law enforcement agencies of EU countries.
Exporting 2nd and 3rd containers of coffee to the US market
Following the success of the first container of coffee with 18,000 finished coffee packages that arrived at the port, were placed on shelves and delivered to consumers in the United States, MISS EDE continued to export two more containers with a total of 42,000 coffee packages. This included 1 container containing 24,000 MISS EDE 250g roasted ground coffee packages + 1 container containing 18,000 MISS EDE 5 lb (2.27kg) roasted bean coffee packages to serve the coffee shop chain.

This coffee product is processed from a non-invasive natural forest cultivation area, operated by Simexco Dak Lak. This export expansion demonstrates the recognition of US consumers - one of the most demanding markets in the world - for Buon Ma Thuot coffee, MISS EDE coffee. After receiving positive feedback and stable sales, the US partner decided to import more products from MISS EDE, affirming the position of Vietnamese brands in the international market.
Also at the press conference, EDE Farm Trading and Service Co., Ltd. and The Nanum Trading Company (Korea) signed a bilateral trade cooperation agreement, opening up new development opportunities in two key markets.

On October 21, 2024, Simexco Daklak received Decision No. 2776/QD-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on "Recognition of the list of products achieving Vietnam National Brand in 2024". In production and business activities in 2023-2024, Simexco Daklak achieved a total revenue of 9,354 billion VND, exporting coffee to 89 countries around the world. Particularly, coffee exports exceeded 100,000 tons, with an export turnover of 287.7 million USD. In 2024, surpassing more than 1,000 participating enterprises, Simexco Daklak is one of 190 outstanding enterprises honored in the program announcing "Unit achieving Vietnam National Brand in 2024". |
