DTO - Implementing Action Program No. 57 dated December 22, 2023 of the District Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of Cao Lanh District Party Committee focused on organizing and deploying it to Party committees and organizations from the beginning of 2024, and at the same time leading the implementation with high determination throughout the Party Committee, thereby achieving many important results, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in the area.

The Standing Committee of Cao Lanh District Party Committee concretized and promptly grasped the documents of the higher-level Party Committees, especially implementing the study of the 2024 Special Topic "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh in promoting the spirit of self-reliance, diligence and cooperation of the people of Dong Thap province" and registering for self-cultivation and training, setting an example for cadres, party members and workers in 2024. Along with that, organizing the thematic activities on 55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; implementing a political and ideological activity on the content of the article "Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, determined to build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong... From there, cadres and party members fully understood the content, had a change in action, actively propagandized and mobilized people to participate in performing well the political tasks at the unit and locality.

Party committees and organizations at all levels have led and directed the fields of socio-economic development. The entire Cao Lanh district has planted nearly 81,000 hectares of rice, linked production and consumption of 30,777 hectares of rice, and linked fruit tree areas of more than 21,800 hectares (exceeding the set plan). The newly established Sen Hong Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative (Tan Hoi Trung commune) has now 19/26 agricultural cooperatives implementing 3-5 effective services; 23/26 agricultural cooperatives have applied digital transformation to the production or purchase and sale of agricultural products. In 2024, Cao Lanh district will have 60 OCOP certified products (16 4-star OCOP products and 44 3-star OCOP products) available on e-commerce platforms.

The locality is interested in accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and implementing investment procedures for works in 2024, investing in 198 works and projects, with a total capital of over 462 billion VND; budget revenue of over 1,260 billion VND (reaching 129.21% of the plan). Promoting digital transformation in directing and operating to serve the people: piloting the model of Applying digital technology to accompany and serve the people (Cao Lanh Companion App), the model of shortening the time to prepare compensation, support, resettlement plans and implementing non-cash compensation payments, the model of Consulting on patient health care via phone, Zalo. In particular, implementing the non-cash payment plan, period 2022 - 2025 in the locality, up to now, 100% of small and medium enterprises have used electronic invoices, business households pay taxes electronically and implement non-cash payments.

The Cao Lanh district education sector maintains the number of students attending classes at all levels, applies STEM teaching and extracurricular topics on STEM/STEAM in 40/40 primary and secondary schools. The network of schools, facilities, and equipment continues to receive investment attention, promptly meeting the needs of teaching and learning, building schools that meet national standards. Attention is paid to directing the improvement of the quality of health care for the people, the service attitude of medical staff, and the epidemic situation in the area is strictly controlled. Social security work has been given attention, dozens of Great Unity houses and gratitude houses have been newly built and repaired, and nearly 27,800 gifts have been visited and presented to people with revolutionary contributions, policy families, poor households, near-poor households, workers and other subjects from state budget sources and funds mobilized from the community with a total amount of over 13 billion VND, contributing to reducing the poverty rate by the end of 2024 to 0.86% (equivalent to 448 households).

In the coming time, Cao Lanh district will continue to implement the Project to build Dong Thap into a pioneering and model province in ecological agriculture, modern countryside, and civilized farmers by 2030 according to the province's plan; encourage farmers to increase the area and apply advanced production methods associated with planting area codes, packaging facility codes, and traceability to create raw material areas for the processing and export industry. At the same time, maintain the implementation of the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030". In addition, encourage the development of eco-tourism and community-based tourism services based on agriculture to increase farmers' income and create an image of green agriculture and sustainable development. Strengthen the application of digital transformation in management and work handling; Provide convenient public services to people and businesses, especially online services based on the National Population Database.
