Veteran Phan Thanh Cao actively cares for economic development

It is known that Mr. Phan Thanh Cao was born and raised in his hometown of Thong Hoa, which has a rich revolutionary tradition. In 1969, Mr. Phan Thanh Cao joined the army when he was just 18 years old, working at the Border Guard of Tra Vinh province. In 1975, due to difficult family circumstances, he asked to be discharged from the army and returned to his hometown and continued to work in the locality until 2002, when he retired and enjoyed the policy regime.

With the qualities of a soldier of "Uncle Ho's Army", after leaving the army, Mr. Phan Thanh Cao built a family and lived separately with 5 hectares of rice fields given by his parents. At first, the family's life encountered many difficulties. In addition to the income from 5 hectares of rice fields with unstable income, along with a small pension, he and his wife had to work for hire to earn more income to take care of family life and raise their children to study; while working, they saved up to buy more rice fields. With the spirit of diligence, hard work, and striving to escape poverty, after many years of saving up, his family has now bought an additional 15,000m2 ^of rice fields (currently the family has a total of ^20,000m2 of cultivated land), including 1,500m2 ^of specialized coconut land and 500m2 ^of lemon land that is bearing fruit. Thanks to the application of science and technology in planting and caring, the coconut garden always bears fruit and brings high economic profits, increasing the family's income, earning several hundred million VND each year. From the above income, the family has enough conditions to raise their children to study. Up to now, both children have been successful. The family life of him and his children is very stable, and the business is growing more and more.

Deeply imbuing Uncle Ho's teachings in combat, as well as in building and defending the Fatherland, Mr. Phan Thanh Cao always maintains the qualities of a "Uncle Ho's Soldier" trained in the army, and as a member of the Commune Veterans Association, Mr. Phan Thanh Cao regularly propagates and mobilizes members to continue to uphold the nature and revolutionary traditions, actively participate in local activities and movements;

Together with local Party committees and authorities, we propagate and mobilize members and people to actively study and follow Uncle Ho in association with specific actions such as: developing family economy, joining hands to build new rural areas, maintaining local security and order; mobilizing members and people to build bridges, repair rural roads, learn from Uncle Ho the spirit of solidarity and mutual support in life; regularly visiting members' lives, introducing effective economic models to mobilize, encourage and help members to apply family economic development, strive to stabilize their lives, as a result, up to now, 15/15 members in the branch have escaped poverty, many families have risen to become well-off and rich.

In addition, every year, he also takes a part of his pension to share and give gifts to members who are more disadvantaged than himself, and mobilizes his hometown children who work far away to annually give Tet gifts to families in difficult circumstances.

The above meaningful actions demonstrate dedication to work, friendliness, closeness, love, care, closeness, and responsibility for work and the community. That is the popular, democratic, and exemplary style that I have learned from Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.

With his care for family economic development and active participation in contributing to the locality, Veteran Phan Thanh Cao is a shining example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style for the younger generation to follow in the current period.
