On October 9, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces opened a training conference on professional work to protect the Party's ideological foundation and fight against erroneous and hostile views in 2024 against non-professional forces.
The training was attended by 130 delegates who are officials from the following agencies: Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province; Mass Mobilization Committees of districts, towns and city Party Committees; Provincial Ethnic Committee; Provincial Religious Committee; and Department of Internal Affairs of localities in the province.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Member of the Steering Committee of 35 provinces, Head of the Expert Group emphasized that the training course aims to equip and foster skills and expertise for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, and association members at advisory and support agencies at the provincial and district levels (in the fields of culture, religion, information, etc.), the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, thereby continuing to affirm the significance and importance of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan suggested that cadres, party members, union members, and association members continue to study and concretize the core contents of the topics to flexibly and creatively apply them to the specific conditions of each agency, locality, and unit; at the same time, propose solutions suitable to the practical situation, improve the quality and effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the coming time.
The training conference took place over 2 days, October 9 and 10. Trainees will listen to central and provincial reporters presenting 4 topics: Identifying plots and sabotage tricks of hostile and reactionary forces in recent times and methods of fighting and refuting on the Internet and social networks, practicing writing skills to fight and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints presented by Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, member of the Editorial Board, Head of the Topics and Special Issues Department, Communist Magazine; issues of ethnicity, religion, and belief associated with protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints presented by Dr. Le Thi Lien, Director of the Institute of Religious Studies, Government Committee for Religious Affairs; discussing and guiding the implementation of a number of provisions of the Law on Protection of State Secrets presented by Lieutenant Colonel Vu Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Department, Provincial Police.
At the conference, the reporters and delegates also shared lessons learned and proposed solutions to promote the achieved results, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the coming time, meeting the requirements of the current practical situation.
