(CLO) On the morning of December 23, in Ca Mau province, the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of the provinces and cities in the South of Hau River held a conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025. Attending the conference was journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
In 2024, the agencies of the Journalists Association of the Southern Song Hau Cluster have actively and effectively contributed to the implementation of the task of disseminating information and propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's management in the area, promptly reflecting all aspects of social life, thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the people; promptly discovering and encouraging new factors, advanced models and great achievements in implementing the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, especially the action programs of the Provincial Party Committees and Provincial People's Committees.

Press agencies promptly convey and bring the Party and State's policies and laws into life, contributing to the good implementation of local political tasks. Organize many activities to improve the quality of press products in both content and form of expression.
Journalist Nguyen Thanh Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association of Ca Mau province, Head of the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of the Southern River Hau Provinces and Cities in 2024, emphasized: "One of the outstanding annual professional activities of the Journalists Association of the Southern River Hau Cluster is organizing the Spring Press Festival. 6/7 Journalists Associations of the Southern River Hau Provinces and Cities organize the Spring Press Festival of Giap Thin 2024. On average, each province organizes the Spring Press Festival with more than 500 press publications of the provinces, cities, central newspapers; special issues of departments, branches, and localities in the province. At the same time, the Spring Press Festival also organizes an exhibition of paintings and photos on the achievements in economic, cultural - social, security - defense development of each province and city".
The Associations also sent the province's Spring Newspaper to participate in the 2024 National Press Festival held in Ho Chi Minh City. As a result, the Nam Song Hau Cluster won the C Prize - Impressive Display Booth Award; 2 Spring Newspaper publications won the A Prize and the Encouragement Prize - Impressive Tet Newspaper Cover Award. 7/7 Associations participated in the National Press Awards, the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards, the Dien Hong Press Awards, the Press Awards for Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, the Mekong Delta Press Awards and other press awards organized by the Central ministries and branches, with a certain level of success.
In addition, the associations in the Cluster organize traditional press awards, such as: Tran Ngoc Hy Traditional Press Award (Ca Mau), Phan Ngoc Hien Traditional Press Award (Can Tho), Press Awards of the provinces: Bac Lieu, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, An Giang.

Unifying the direction and tasks of the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of the provinces and cities in the South of Hau River, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung informed that the Central Committee is determined to streamline the apparatus, including streamlining press agencies. The Central Committee has not yet directed or guided the merger of the Journalists Association with other organizations, but some localities have merged the Journalists Association with the Literature and Arts Association. This merger will be considered, arranged, and streamlined by the locality to be suitable and ensure effective implementation of the task.
The Vice President of the Journalists Association noted that the Journalists Associations of Nam Song Hau province and city should coordinate well to organize activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; continue to consolidate and improve the branches, constantly innovate and improve the quality of activities, contributing to enhancing the role and position of the team of journalists...
The conference agreed to award the rotating flag of the 2025 Cluster Leader to the Bac Lieu Journalists Association, and the certificate of merit of the Vietnam Journalists Association to the Journalists Associations of Soc Trang and Hau Giang provinces; and at the same time signed an emulation agreement between the Journalists Associations of the provinces and cities of the South of Hau River.
