Ca Mau deploys foreign affairs activities in 2025

The People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just issued a plan to implement foreign affairs activities in 2025. In particular, the province focuses on expanding international cooperation, attracting investment, promoting cultural diplomacy and improving the effectiveness of state management of foreign affairs.

According to the plan, Ca Mau will focus on expanding cooperation with localities of other countries according to the international integration strategy roadmap, selecting areas of strength to promote cooperation. The province also aims to mobilize capital, science, technology, high-quality human resources from abroad and the overseas Vietnamese community; promote internal resources, and improve the competitiveness of enterprises in the province.

In addition, Ca Mau continues to strengthen cultural diplomacy and foreign information, promote the image, homeland and people of Ca Mau province to international friends; strengthen the solidarity and friendship between Ca Mau province and the provinces that have signed friendly cooperation agreements. This is also an important task, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

To effectively implement the 2025 foreign affairs plan, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province sets out a number of key tasks and solutions, including:

Improve the effectiveness of state management of foreign affairs activities; effectively implement Plan No. 217/KH-UBND dated October 14, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on international integration of Ca Mau province in 2025.

Organize and manage delegations on foreign business trips to ensure savings, efficiency, and compliance with regulations; strengthen the management of foreign delegations visiting and working in the province.

Promote foreign information work, cultural diplomacy and overseas Vietnamese; improve state management of international conferences and seminars; effectively and promptly carry out consular work and citizen protection.

The People's Committee of Ca Mau province requires foreign affairs activities to ensure adherence to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and to ensure consistency and synchronization with the province's socio-economic development orientation. Activities must promote the initiative, flexibility and creativity of all levels and sectors in advising and organizing the implementation of foreign affairs activities; practice thrift, combat ostentation, formality and waste in foreign affairs activities. Ensure unified and comprehensive leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee; centralized and effective management of the Provincial People's Committee; close coordination between agencies, sectors and localities in implementing foreign affairs activities. The implementation of the plan must comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law and international commitments to which Vietnam is a party.

According to the plan, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province will continue to promote its role as the focal agency for mobilizing aid, assisting the Steering Committee on Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations to effectively deploy the work of mobilizing aid from foreign organizations, individuals, and foreign non-governmental organizations, ensuring the work of mobilizing, receiving, managing and using aid sources effectively, in accordance with the law. The Union will proactively maintain connections with foreign non-governmental organizations that have been registered to operate in Ca Mau and expand the establishment of relationships with new foreign non-governmental organizations with potential and resources to attract and mobilize aid.

With the above specific orientations and solutions, Ca Mau expects to achieve important steps in foreign affairs in 2025, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and enhancing the province's position in the process of international integration.
