On December 6, the Minister of National Defense issued Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP stipulating health standards and health examinations for subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense.
Accordingly, the health standards for military service from January 1, 2024 are stipulated as follows:
- General standards:
Achieve health level 1, 2, 3 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP;
Citizens addicted to drugs and drug precursors as prescribed in Decree 57/2022/ND-CP shall not be called for military service.
- Specific standards: Some specific health standards in military service selection are prescribed by the Minister of National Defense.
In addition, Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP stipulates health standards for other subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense such as:
- Health standards for military recruitment for regular university, college, and intermediate training; military recruitment for university and college training in basic military fields:
+ General standards: Meet health level 1, type 2 according to regulations in Article 5, Article 6 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP;
+ Specific standards: Comply with the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense on enrollment in military schools.
- Health standards for recruitment into the cadre team; training of reserve officers called into active service:
+ General standards: Meet health level 1, type 2 according to regulations in Article 5, Article 6 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP;
+ Specific standards: For positions of specialized technical staff in narrow fields, where it is difficult to attract human resources for the army, as prescribed by the Minister of National Defense.
- Health standards for recruiting professional soldiers, workers and defense officials:
+ General standards: Meet health level 1, 2, 3 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP;
+ Specific standards: For the recruitment of professional soldiers, workers and defense officials with narrow technical expertise and difficulty in attracting human resources for the army, as prescribed by the Minister of National Defense.
