In his opening speech, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the conference is of great significance, demonstrating the National Assembly's determination to promote the application of advanced information technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, meeting the country's development requirements in the new period, as the country enters a new era - the era of national growth.
On December 22, 2024, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Immediately after that, on January 13, 2025, at Dien Hong Hall, a National Conference was held to disseminate Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
“This is an unprecedented historic conference chaired by General Secretary To Lam, who delivered a very important speech at the conference. The National Assembly Party Delegation issued Plan No. 3260 to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, which clearly defines goals and targets, assigns responsibilities, and schedules specific progress, and organizes implementation with the spirit of urgency and the highest determination,” emphasized Comrade Tran Thanh Man.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Standing Committee of the Nationalities Council, the National Assembly Committees, and the National Assembly Office to focus on thoroughly grasping and taking the lead in investing in digital infrastructure, applying science and technology, and training high-quality human resources to serve national digital transformation; quickly and effectively implementing resolutions and projects issued for the National Assembly; training and equipping digital skills, helping National Assembly deputies and officials, civil servants, and public employees of National Assembly agencies to use technology effectively in performing their tasks...
According to the National Assembly Chairman, at the 9th session in May, the National Assembly will review and comment on the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation; consider passing the Law on Digital Technology Industry to remove bottlenecks and barriers, paving the way for the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
“With the determination of the entire political system and the entire population, Vietnam has the potential to achieve success in this field, for the sustainable development of families and society, for the longevity of the nation and people.
