On the morning of March 18, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan chaired a meeting with relevant departments and branches to evaluate the implementation results of the OCOP program and deploy a product development plan in 2025.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, from 2018 to 2024, Quang Nam recorded a total of 493 OCOP-certified products from 386 production entities. Of these, 191 products expired, 03 products had their OCOP certification revoked; 299 products were still valid, 274 3-star products, 23 4-star products, and 02 5-star products. Significant improvements in quality, variety, and packaging design have helped Quang Nam's OCOP products gain consumer trust.
The OCOP program not only increases product value but also contributes to changing the awareness of many producers. Thereby, agricultural enterprises have actively invested in technology, purchased modern machinery, and applied advanced quality control systems such as VietGap, GlobalGAP, etc. This is considered a key factor in promoting products, expanding consumption markets, and increasing income for producers.
To continue developing this program, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a Plan for 2025 with many important contents. This plan includes propaganda, organizing training courses for officials and OCOP subjects on business, product evaluation, brand building and traceability system...
Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan hopes that the OCOP program will not only continue to promote the achieved values but also open up many new development opportunities for local agricultural products and improve people's lives. Accordingly, the competent agencies and localities will actively support and resolve arising problems, create conditions for product diversification, improve the quality of OCOP products, contributing to creating momentum for sustainable socio-economic development.
