Many practical activities are organized
Earlier this month, the city's HHDN had a meeting and worked with a delegation from Linyi City (China), opening up new cooperation opportunities for the business communities of both sides.
At the program, businesses had the opportunity to exchange and learn about the potential for cooperation in the fields of trade, wood processing and furniture production. Businesses from both sides also discussed the strengths of each locality, shared experiences and sought investment opportunities and market development. The meeting ended with proactive connections between businesses from both sides, with the desire to build sustainable partnerships. The Hue City Business Association and Lam Nghi City also agreed to cooperate in the fields of trade, wood processing and furniture through organizing fairs, trade promotion, technology transfer, building supply chains and expanding exports.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hue, Director of Moc Phuong Furniture Trading and Manufacturing Company Limited, shared: “The meeting helped us gain more useful information about market demand and consumption trends in China, especially in the field of furniture. Enterprises in Linyi city have a lot of experience in wood production and processing, using advanced technology and abundant raw materials. This is an opportunity for our enterprise to learn the production process and build channels to supply quality raw materials. At the same time, we also have the opportunity to introduce typical products to your enterprise, creating a foundation to expand the export market.”
In addition to the above activities, in recent times, the Hue City Business Association has also actively coordinated with domestic and foreign units to connect and introduce businesses to participate in many trade fairs, helping businesses promote their products and find new partners. Trade promotion activities at fairs in Thailand, Japan, and Canada recently held have opened up many potential export opportunities, promoting Hue businesses to reach further.
In addition, the city's HHDN regularly organizes conferences and training programs on business administration skills, marketing, human resource management and trade promotion, helping businesses improve their competitiveness and proactively adapt to new market requirements in the integration period. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, Director of Hue Viet Organic Company Limited, affirmed: "The association's training programs are highly practical, helping businesses quickly grasp market changes, especially new international standards."
In addition, propaganda, dissemination of laws and policy updates are also key activities regularly organized by the association. Changes in tax and credit policies or new regulations on import and export are promptly informed to businesses by the association, helping them to promptly grasp and minimize legal risks in business activities.
Bridge between business and government
One of the outstanding strengths of the Hue City Business Association is the connection between the business community and the authorities at all levels. Through regular conferences and dialogue forums, the City Business Association has conveyed many practical recommendations from businesses to the authorities, departments and branches, contributing to improving the business environment, helping businesses more easily access loans and other mechanisms and policies.
Last year, HHDN also held a series of direct dialogue conferences with representatives of departments, agencies and sectors to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles that businesses are facing. In particular, the program "Connecting banks and businesses" was widely implemented to support businesses in accessing preferential credit packages, reducing financial pressure, especially in the current challenging economic context.
The city's HHDN also actively participates in contributing opinions to draft laws and policies directly related to production and business activities. Specific proposals such as tax exemption and reduction for small and medium enterprises, and increased support for enterprises in digital transformation are all built on the synthesis of reflections from the practical activities of the business community.
According to Mr. Tran Van My, Chairman of the Hue City Business Association, creating a channel for smooth exchange and information sharing between the government and businesses plays a very important role. “The city’s Business Association always strives to become a bridge, promptly conveying the thoughts and aspirations of businesses to the government, contributing to perfecting policies that are close to reality, thereby promoting the city’s economy to develop more dynamically and sustainably. Currently, the association is focusing on connecting and promoting programs to support businesses in accessing and mastering digital technology. In-depth training courses on e-commerce, branding on digital platforms, as well as online business connection activities continue to be implemented, helping businesses expand their markets, reach customers effectively and save costs,” Mr. Tran Van My affirmed.
