On the afternoon of March 21, in Hanoi, the Department of Public Security Communications (Ministry of Public Security) held a conference to meet with press agencies to promote coordination in propaganda work in 2025.

Since 2021, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have assigned the Department of People's Public Security Communications to be the focal unit, coordinating communications with news agencies and newspapers outside the People's Public Security to promote propaganda about the activities of the Public Security force.

The report on the results of cooperation and coordination of propaganda with news agencies and press agencies outside the People's Public Security in 2024 shows that the Department of People's Public Security Communications has coordinated with functional units to proactively advise the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to direct the Public Security of units, localities, and People's Public Security press agencies to seriously and fully implement the contents, coordination regulations and responsibilities of each agency and unit in the implementation to unify the awareness of the goals, requirements, principles, and measures to implement the cooperation program with news agencies and press agencies outside the Public Security.

Every year, organize delegations of reporters to infiltrate the reality at the police units and localities (Son La, Ha Nam, Tra Vinh, Hoa Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Hanoi, K01, C10, some units under K02 at: Northeast Mobile Police Regiment; Northwest Mobile Police Regiment, National Training Center on Anti-Terrorism; Special Police Battalion No. 1 and Training and Professional Development Center...), with the active participation of reporters from news agencies and newspapers.

Establish a Zalo group to maintain regular contact with specialized reporters of each press agency to exchange and deploy hot information to promptly propagate and orient public opinion.

Major General Tran Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the People's Public Security Communications Department, assessed that, besides the achieved results, in the process of media cooperation, there are still some limitations: there are not many good and impressive works about good people, good deeds, and beautiful images of People's Public Security officers and soldiers.
Coordination between police units and localities with reporters from news agencies and newspapers in providing and exchanging information is sometimes not proactive and flexible, and solutions need to be found in the coming time.
