Dien Bien TV - On the morning of March 6, comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the field and assessed the progress of implementing a number of key projects in Dien Bien Phu City and Dien Bien District.

Inspecting the field of packages 3 and 4 of the Nam Rom River Basin Multi-Disaster Management Project to protect people's lives, adapt to climate change and develop the socio-economy of Dien Bien province; packages 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Road Project connecting key economic areas in the dynamic economic region along National Highway 279 and National Highway 12, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do acknowledged the efforts of the investor, Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee and Dien Bien district in implementing the projects, especially site clearance.

He requested that localities continue to focus on compensation and site clearance, and hand over clean land to the project. The investors urged contractors to mobilize maximum resources, vehicles, machinery, and workers to construct the project to ensure progress according to the set plan. For production areas of people at risk of flooding due to construction of project items, investors will install temporary drainage systems.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do informed the people of Him Lam ward about the province's policy to implement the overall project of investing in the construction of a Sports and Physical Training Center.

Inspecting the project items under the overall project of investment in construction of the Provincial Sports and Physical Training Center, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do directed the Land Fund Development Center to coordinate with the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City to speed up the implementation of the compensation and site clearance plan; and to propagate policies on compensation and resettlement for households within the scope of land acquisition.

At the same time, he met with representatives of households in the project area to listen to their opinions and informed them about the province's policy on this project. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee is actively and closely directing departments, branches and local authorities to carry out related tasks to speed up the project's progress. He also hopes that households will agree and support the implementation process./.
