(NADS) - On the morning of March 13, in Dong Hoi City, the Quang Binh Province Literature and Arts Association held a meeting with photography members to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Traditional Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2025).
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; sculptor Phan Dinh Tien - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; writer Le Na - Editor-in-Chief of Nhat Le Magazine, writer The Tuong, member of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, and all members of the photography industry.
Quang Binh Photography currently has 6 photographers and 27 members in the photography major of the provincial Literature and Arts Association. At the meeting, the artists recalled memories of their creative trips, exhibitions and contributions to the development of the province's photography.
Speaking at the event, sculptor Phan Dinh Tien - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association acknowledged the contributions of photography members to the cultural and artistic life of the locality. He also expressed his appreciation for the attention of provincial leaders to photography and arts activities in general.
Artist Thanh Vuong emotionally recalled memorable moments during his creative process. Artist Nguyen Hai shared about his field trips and special moments that he and his colleagues had captured through his lens. Artist Vo Xuan Be emphasized the role of photography in reflecting the breath of life, accompanying the development of the country.
On behalf of the Vietnam Photography Association in Quang Binh, artist Hoang An - Branch President, outlined the development of photography in the province as well as the years of working with the Vietnam Photography Association. He also made a number of proposals and recommendations to create more favorable conditions for creative activities and promotion of photography in Quang Binh.
The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere, demonstrating the connection between generations of photographers and the attention of leaders at all levels to the art of photography. This is also an opportunity for members to continue promoting their creativity, contributing many valuable works to the country's photography industry.
