On June 14, at the National Military Training Center 2 (Tay Son District, Binh Dinh Province), the 8th Mass Arts Festival of Military Region 5 (Region 2) - 2023 opened. With the theme "Continuing the heroic epic - Pride of Region 5 in the new day", this festival has 16 units in the Central Highlands and Southern Military Region participating. (Region 1 held in Quang Nam Province has 17 units in the Northern Military Region participating).

The Phu Yen People's Army Art Troupe participated in the festival with the theme "Phu Yen People's Army - Firmly Stepping Under the Military Flag". The troupe's competition program included 5 performances: Singing and dancing The heroes' figures (author: Minh Son; performed by the entire troupe); solo The Soldier's Wife (author: Le Minh Son; Bich Ly and the dance group performed); Tieu Cuong dance (self-composed, performed by the dance group); folk drama Zone 5 The Alarm Bell (self-composed; performed by the drama group); medley Moving Forward Under the Military Flag - Phu Yen People's Army March (composed by: Doan Nho - Tan Phat; performed by the entire troupe).
Taking place over 3 days, the festival aims to contribute to improving the cultural and spiritual life of officers and soldiers, is an opportunity to review the glorious traditions of the nation, the Party, the army and the military region's armed forces, and foster love for the homeland and country. At the same time, it is an opportunity for officers and soldiers of agencies and units to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and constantly improve the spiritual life of soldiers...
