Leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee and a number of relevant departments and localities received citizens.
At the meeting, some citizens in Hung Long commune (Ninh Giang) requested to allow households to maintain bridges that violate the traffic safety infrastructure corridor of Provincial Road 396 and the Dai Phu Giang canal irrigation project for travel and daily activities; to inspect and examine land management, land use purpose conversion and compliance with land laws by the People's Committee of Hung Long commune.
Regarding the above content, the representative of Ninh Giang District People's Committee said that Dai Phu Giang canal, T6 canal, Hiep Le pumping station are irrigation and drainage canals serving production for 8 communes in the district. On this canal, 152 households in 6 communes have arbitrarily built 156 bridges and 24 stalls, causing blockage of water flow, environmental pollution, and traffic safety problems. Hung Long commune alone has 28 bridges and 2 stalls built illegally.
On December 1, 2023, Ninh Giang district launched a campaign to clear violations within the scope of irrigation works in 6 communes. By May 10, households had voluntarily dismantled 147 bridges and 24 stalls; only 9 bridges belonging to 8 households in Hung Long commune remained.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang requested that in May 2024, the People's Committee of Ninh Giang district should organize a meeting with 8 households with 9 violating bridges in Hung Long commune to come up with the best possible solution to solve the problem for the households in accordance with the law. Ninh Giang district should report the solution to this issue to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in early June 2024.
At the meeting with citizens, some members of the Co Do Production, Service and Trade Cooperative in Cam Phuc Commune (Cam Giang) raised questions about the origin and land use plan of the old Co Do Brick and Tile Cooperative. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang requested the People's Committee of Cam Giang District to issue a written response to the citizens and report on the use of the above land area in May 2024.
A citizen in Gia Xuyen commune (Hai Duong city) requested to resolve the regime for people infected with chemical agents in his case. Provincial leaders assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Health to review the records, respond to the citizen's petition; and report on the resolution plan in early June 2024.
All reflections and recommendations from citizens and citizen groups were requested by Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang to be reported to relevant departments, branches and localities for clarification and assigned a specific deadline for resolution.
