(HTV) - 84 years ago, on January 28, 1941, after 30 years of wandering abroad in search of a way to save the country, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to the Fatherland.
The event was not only a special mark in the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh, but also a major milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation. From here, he and the Party Central Committee made a decision to complete the revolutionary path for national liberation, meeting the aspirations of the people, in line with the development trend of the world revolution, and having a decisive significance for the fate of the country.

The Conference completed the highest leadership body of the Party, elected the official Central Executive Committee, the Central Standing Committee, elected comrade Truong Chinh as General Secretary of the Indochinese Communist Party; on that basis, completed the Party committees from the Regional Party Committee to the local Party committees - this was the leading factor deciding the direction of the Vietnamese revolution. In particular, the Conference determined the task of national liberation as the urgent and top priority task of the Vietnamese revolution at that time.
