The Japanese side hopes to bring the activities of the Vietnam - Japan Festival to Hanoi in the near future, thereby promoting people-to-people exchange, contributing to and enhancing the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
On the afternoon of October 10, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh received and worked with the Special Advisory Delegation of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance led by Mr. Takebe Tsutomu.
Speaking at the reception, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu - Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union, former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, member of the Council of Vietnam - Japan University expressed his impression of the splendid scenery of the City on the occasion of the grand ceremony celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Mr. Takebe Tsutomu affirmed that Hanoi has truly developed strongly to become one of the leading cities in the Asian region.
Sharing memories of working with Vietnam and Hanoi over the past 3 decades, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu expressed his honor to contribute to many important projects in the development process of the capital, including Hoa Lac High-Tech Park and Vietnam - Japan University.
Appreciating Hanoi city becoming the managing unit of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu hopes that the two sides can regularly provide and share information, and strengthen substantive cooperation in related fields and contents.
Mr. Takebe Tsutomu also believes that Vietnam - Japan University will continue to develop strongly in the coming time to become a bright spot in education, attracting talents from around the world to Hanoi as well as Vietnam.
Referring to the Japan-Vietnam Festival (JVF) that has been taking place in Ho Chi Minh City for a long time, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu hopes to bring this cultural exchange activity to Hanoi in the near future, thereby promoting people-to-people exchange, contributing to and elevating the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Takebe Tsutomu also believes that the upcoming working trip to Japan by the Hanoi delegation - including Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh - will achieve many results, contributing positively to the relationship between the two countries as well as between Hanoi and Japanese localities. The Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Alliance emphasized that he will actively support the successful visit.
Also at the meeting, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee acknowledged the role of Mr. Takebe Tsutomu in establishing a bridge, enhancing exchanges and mutual understanding between the two countries as well as promoting the development of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Expressing his appreciation for Mr. Takebe Tsutomu’s sharing, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed the special nature of the relationship between Vietnam and Japan. Accordingly, the political trust between the two governments, the trust of the business community and the people of the two countries are important foundations to maintain the close relationship between the two countries in the context of many fluctuations in the world and the region.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh agreed with the potential cooperation proposals, especially in the field of training and efforts to promote the development of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. At the same time, the Chairman of the City People's Committee also highly appreciated the role of the Vietnam - Japan University, affirming that Hanoi will pay attention to creating conditions, removing bottlenecks, and supporting the school to implement its development orientations.
Regarding the idea of organizing Japanese cultural exchange activities in Hanoi, the Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed his agreement and suggested that the two sides consider the possibility of coordinating to organize annual fairs on different fields and groups of goods.
The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee hopes that Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, along with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, will actively support Hanoi in promoting friendly and cooperative relations with Japanese localities and partners to become more in-depth, practical and effective in the coming time.
