DNVN - Mr. Ding Ming Chee, Senior Business Director of Dassault Systèmes South Pacific region expressed that breakthrough technologies such as model-based systems engineering, virtual copy technology and artificial intelligence analysis will be the launching pad for Vietnam's aerospace and defense industry.
On July 2 in Hanoi, Dassault Systèmes Group, the National Innovation Center (NIC), and Kami Manufacturing Technology Joint Stock Company (KMTC) opened the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Innovation Festival.
The event also brought together many experts and influential people from agencies and organizations such as the General Department of Defense Industry, Military Technical Academy, National Innovation Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, German Business Association in Vietnam, Hermle AG, and Dassault Systèmes Group.
Dassault Systèmes Global Vice President Aerospace & Defense David Ziegler also delivered a keynote address at the event, titled “Unleashing Sustainable Innovation for 21st Century Aerospace Manufacturing.”
Discussing the journey of digitalization and innovation in Vietnam, revolutionizing the entire supply chain in essential industries such as aviation, aerospace and defense, experts assessed that this is a market that is receiving increasing attention from investors around the world, including France, which is also the headquarters of Dassault Systèmes and Airbus Group, which recently reaffirmed its commitment to Vietnam by the end of 2023.
At the event, French Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Olivier Brochet, assessed Vietnam as a country with impressive growth rate. Vietnam is a market that is receiving increasing attention from investors around the world, including France.

Mr. Olivier expressed his hope that in the coming time, there will be more French enterprises bringing suitable production technologies for cooperation and development with Vietnam.
“From design to manufacturing, digitalization is optimizing processes, improving performance and enhancing competitiveness. Disruptive technologies such as model-based systems engineering, virtual twin technology and AI-powered analytics will be the launch pad for Vietnam’s aerospace and defense industry, nurturing the development of a dynamic ecosystem,” said Ding Ming Chee, Senior Business Director, Dassault Systèmes South Pacific.

Dassault Systèmes Group established a representative office in Hanoi from July 2022, and on this occasion also announced a cooperation agreement with KMTC. This agreement will help system integrator KMTC lead the digital transformation in the aerospace manufacturing industry in Vietnam.
