(NLDO)- The on-time take-off rate of Vietnamese airlines in February 2025 reached 67.4%, Pacific Airlines was the most punctual airline.
According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in February 2025, the month with the second half of the Lunar New Year peak, Vietnamese airlines including Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Vasco, Pacific Airlines), Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines operated a total of 22,137 flights.
Of these, Vietnam Airlines had 9,323 flights with an on-time departure rate of 79%. Vietjet Air operated a total of 9,825 flights with an on-time rate of 52.4%. Bamboo Airways operated 1,295 flights with an on-time rate of 83.
Vietravel operated 444 flights with an on-time rate of 65.8%. VASCO operated 648 flights with an on-time rate of 79%. Pacific Airlines operated 602 flights with an on-time rate of 87.5%, making it the most punctual airline among domestic airlines in February 2025.
Thus, by February 2025, the average on-time take-off rate of airlines will reach 67.4%, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
In February 2025, the number of delayed flights accounted for a fairly high percentage of 32.6% (equivalent to 7,213 flights).
Of which, the number of delayed flights of Vietnam Airlines was 1,950 (accounting for 20.9% of the total number of flights operated by the airline); Vietjet Air had 4,680 delayed flights (accounting for 47.6%); Bamboo Airways had 220 flights (17%); Vietravel had 152 flights (34.2%); Pacific Airlines had 75 flights (12.5%); VASCO had 136 delayed flights (accounting for 21%).
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in February 2025, late arrival of aircraft was the main cause of delays, accounting for 59.2% of delayed flights. Another major cause of flight delays was the airlines themselves (accounting for 29.3%).
