The Civil Aviation Authority has just announced flight operation data of 6 domestic airlines.
Accordingly, last February, Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, Pacific Airlines, VASCO, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel operated 22,137 flights.
Leading this number is VietJet Air with 9,825 flights, Vietnam Airlines 9,323, Bamboo Airways 1,295 flights... Among the 6 airlines, VietJet Air continues to lead in the number of flight delays, with a total of 4,680/9,825 flights.
Similarly, Vietnam Airlines had up to 2,000 delayed and canceled flights; Vietravel operated 444 flights in the month, but only 292 were on time, while 154 were delayed and canceled...
Meanwhile, Pacific Airlines and Bamboo Airways are the two airlines with the highest on-time flight rates, with rates of 87.5% and 83%, respectively.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, there are many reasons for flight delays, but the biggest is due to late arrival of the aircraft. Of these, VietJet Air had 2,418 flights, Vietnam Airlines 1,403 and Vietravel had 110 late flights...
Flights were canceled due to many reasons such as weather, technical issues... Of which, Vietnam Airlines canceled the most with 50 flights, while other airlines had from 1 to 14 flights canceled.
According to the leader of the Civil Aviation Authority, to limit the above situation, the unit has just issued a directive requiring airlines to improve service quality. The Authority also assigned the Airport Authority to directly monitor all cases of flight delays and cancellations; requesting airlines and related service providers to fulfill their obligations as carriers according to regulations.
