On April 22, at the 19th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term, the Nghe An Provincial People's Council passed a draft resolution approving the addition of 2,187 teacher positions for the 2023-2024 school year to the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns.
This is the number of staff approved by the Central Organizing Committee on December 6, 2023, to supplement the public preschool and general education staff from 2023-2024 for Nghe An province.
Of the total 2,187 teachers, 1,352 will be recruited for preschools, 369 for primary schools, 441 for secondary schools and 25 for high schools.
Regarding the allocation principle: for preschool, primary and secondary schools: the number of teachers at each level of the unit is supplemented by the number of teachers lacking in the unit multiplied by the ratio of teachers supplemented in the whole province to the total number of teachers lacking in the whole province.
For high school level, based on the number of teachers lacking in schools and the opinion of Nghe An Department of Education and Training to allocate.
With the addition of 2,187 teachers, the total number of civil servants in public service units and associations in 2024 in Nghe An is 58,048 people.
Previously, at the beginning of this school year, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training and the Nghe An Department of Home Affairs consulted with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to propose that the Central Government add 6,600 positions to ensure enough teachers to teach according to the 2018 general education program.
Recently, Nghe An has encountered a problem when it is lacking thousands of teachers, but there are also thousands of long-term contract teachers and newly graduated pedagogical students who have difficulty finding jobs or getting into the payroll because there are no payroll quotas.
