Positive change
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh said that since the beginning of 2024, the Government and the Prime Minister have continued to have timely and drastic directions and management in economic sectors, paying special attention to grasping and removing difficulties of enterprises to restore production and business activities in all sectors.
Thanks to that, the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of 2024 continued to be stable; many key national infrastructure projects such as the North-South Expressway, inter-regional and inter-provincial expressway projects, airports and seaports were started and inaugurated; the real estate market had positive changes, and supply improved.
According to data from the General Statistics Office, the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of 2024 shows that investment capital from the State budget is being focused on and promoted by the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, branches and localities.

The leaders of the Ministry of Construction also acknowledged that this is a truly favorable condition and opportunity for businesses operating in the fields of real estate, construction architecture, construction materials and interior and exterior decoration, promoting production and business activities as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
Expectations for improvement
Experts believe that in the last months of 2024, the construction materials industry will continue to recover with support from the infrastructure and real estate sectors. However, factors such as raw material prices, credit policies, and green material development trends will play an important role in shaping supply and demand in the market. Manufacturers and construction contractors need to closely monitor the economic and policy situation to be best prepared.
The demand for green, environmentally friendly building materials is increasing. Products such as unburnt bricks, natural concrete, and recycled materials are being focused on by many construction companies. These materials can be preferred if the price is reasonable and the construction efficiency is high.
Construction technology is constantly evolving, especially in the application of new materials and energy-saving technologies. This will influence the development of smart and cost-saving construction materials.
A representative of Jega Vietnam Joint Stock Company said that the company always promotes the application of digital technology in production and builds a comprehensive digital platform for the furniture industry, helping businesses improve product performance and quality, while creating an ecosystem of connection, cooperation and sustainable development.
The furniture industry is facing intense pressure on productivity, quality, personalization and costs. This poses a challenge for businesses to cut fixed costs while still ensuring productivity meets increasingly complex demands.
A provider of a digital ecosystem and a comprehensive supply chain service platform for the furniture industry, built on cloud computing, artificial intelligence and big data. Aiming to become a core technology platform, helping businesses in the entire furniture industry chain apply digital technology to improve performance, develop sustainably and prosper.
Head of the Department of Construction Materials (Ministry of Construction) Le Trung Thanh said that the demand for construction materials in our country is still very large, because the national housing area is still low, the urbanization rate is only 43%; the infrastructure system for transportation and energy is not complete...
However, in recent years, the construction materials industry in our country has been facing difficulties, with both consumption and revenue decreasing, easily leading to the risk of stagnation in production and business activities of enterprises.
In the coming time, it is necessary to strengthen forecasting of domestic and foreign developments to proactively propose timely and effective response solutions, helping businesses have a stable direction for production and business; combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods; and expand markets both domestically and internationally.
In addition, it is necessary to promote public investment, build transport infrastructure, irrigation, invest in developing urban and rural infrastructure, national defense and security projects, marine projects, and islands to serve people's lives and develop the marine economy. Proactively innovate, flexibly apply high technology, digital transformation, green transformation, and circular economy, contributing to reducing costs, improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness of products.
