Article 3 of Resolution 159/2024/QH15 stipulates the content of implementing wage policy and some social policies as follows:
No increase in public sector salaries, pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances, and preferential allowances for meritorious people in 2025.
Accordingly, there will be no official increase in salaries for officials, civil servants, public employees and armed forces in 2025.
In 2025, the basic salary will remain at VND 2,340,000/month, according to Decree 73/2024 of the Government.
Teachers' salaries are calculated by the formula: basic salary x salary coefficient.
Accordingly, the highest teacher salary is nearly 16,000,000 VND/month and the lowest salary is 4,900,000 VND/month. This salary does not include other allowances and subsidies.
The National Assembly assigned the Government to propose the continued adjustment of public sector salaries (including teachers who are civil servants) in case the socio-economic situation in 2025 is more favorable and resources are balanced, and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
