The Vietnam Heritage Tree Council met and approved 45 more ancient trees from 6 provinces and cities that are eligible for recognition as Vietnam heritage trees. At the same time, the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council met, reviewed the documents and concluded that the drift tree at the Vinh Thang village cultural house (Huong Vinh commune) met all the criteria and was recognized as a Vietnam heritage tree.

Talking to Dan Viet reporter, Mr. Tran Van Thi - Chairman of Huong Vinh Commune People's Committee, Huong Khe District said: "The locality has just received a document from the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment regarding the approval of Vietnam heritage trees. The drift tree belongs to the family of scissors, spoons, and mangoes.
The people of Huong Vinh consider the "treasure" of the village, closely linked to the daily life and culture of the commune and always uphold the responsibility to protect and preserve. Under the canopy of the driftwood tree is a space for community activities, a soul of the countryside with its own special local features.
