On the afternoon of November 24, at 62 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, the General Department of Market Management, Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the opening of the Exhibition Hall with the theme "Understanding genuine goods - Avoiding counterfeit goods". The Exhibition Hall will last until November 30. This is an event in response to the Anti-Counterfeiting and Counterfeiting Day (November 29).
At this showroom, more than 600 products in 9 fields and industries including: Chemicals - cosmetics; fashion; footwear; household and consumer goods; stationery; beverages; pharmaceuticals and medical equipment are displayed by the General Department of Market Management and directly instruct consumers on how to identify and distinguish, and provide addresses where genuine products can be purchased in Vietnam.

In particular, the highlight of this exhibition is a group of 6 items with over 50 products from Japanese enterprises provided by the Japan Patent Office (JPO) displayed in the central booth of the exhibition, demonstrating the determination and close coordination between Vietnam and Japan in the fight against counterfeit goods, helping consumers avoid buying counterfeit, fake, and poor quality products originating from Japan.
According to Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the General Department of Market Management, with the theme "Understanding genuine goods - avoiding fake goods", the General Department of Market Management hopes to create a useful information channel to help consumers identify genuine goods to "avoid buying fake goods". Because, besides the drastic participation of functional forces, wisdom in choosing goods and shopping channels will help consumers avoid unfortunate losses.

In order to raise public awareness of the fight against counterfeit and fake goods, clarify and help consumers better understand the harmful effects of this problem on the country's economic development, starting from the end of 2021, the General Department of Market Management has put into operation and used the Genuine-Counterfeit Goods Showroom at 62 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. This is where consumers can visit and be guided by experts from the General Department of Market Management to distinguish the signs of genuine products and infringing products on the market.
