Because of a petty conflict during a traffic jam on the road, the father-in-law and son-in-law beat up a GrabBike driver. Up to now, both have been prosecuted and arrested by the police.
WATCH CLIP :
Today (January 21), the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City has issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an arrest warrant for two suspects: Tran Tien Thinh (33 years old, residing in Thu Duc City) and Thai Hoang Phuong (57 years old, residing in Binh Thanh District, Thinh's father-in-law) to investigate the crime of "Disturbing public order".
The above decisions and orders were approved by the People's Procuracy of Binh Thanh District.
The victim of the assault in the above case was Mr. HTM (24 years old, from Binh Thuan), a GrabBike motorbike taxi driver.
Accordingly, at 10:30 p.m. on January 11, due to traffic congestion, while traveling from Kinh Bridge to Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, M. drove his motorbike into the opposite lane to move. As a result, Mr. M. had a conflict and argued with Thinh - the driver of the car driving in the opposite lane, carrying Mr. Phuong, his father-in-law.
When resolving the conflict, Thinh and his father used a metal stick to attack and beat Mr. M. People intervened, and the two got in the car and left.
Upon receiving the report, Binh Thanh District police investigated and the next day urgently arrested these two people.
Initially, Thinh and Phuong admitted their actions. Both stated that they were psychologically depressed due to traffic congestion, and when they saw Mr. M's car going in the opposite direction, they became even more angry and could not control themselves and acted that way. Both expressed remorse and asked the law enforcement agency to be lenient and give them a chance to correct their mistakes.
Thinh, the person who used the metal rod to hit Mr. M. on the head and is now being prosecuted by the law, said: "I feel ashamed and now I cannot celebrate Tet with my relatives and family."
Mr. Phuong also expressed his remorse: “I deeply regret and feel ashamed of my family and society for my rash actions. I was not able to go home to celebrate Tet with my family. I hope to be forgiven.”
