March 20, 2025 marks the 10-year milestone of the establishment of Vietnam Rice Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinarice) - a prestigious enterprise distributing and producing high-quality rice, always upholding the will, aspiration and spirit of overcoming difficulties of the Vietnamese people.
Originating from the startup idea of a student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Tran Phuong Nam, who comes from a farming family whose farmland was confiscated to serve a tourism project. With nothing but bare hands, the young man that year did many jobs to earn a living, accumulated experience and learned about the rice trading industry. After a period of preparation and trying his hand at small-scale business, on March 20, 2015, Vietnam Rice Production and Trading Company Limited (Vinarice) was born.
In the early days, Vinarice's journey was full of difficulties and challenges. Without large capital and modern means of transportation, Mr. Nam had to buy rice himself by motorbike, delivering small quantities to build trust with customers. The days of working tirelessly 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, along with times when he thought he had to give up, became the foundation for Vinarice to firmly step on the path of development.
After the first difficult years, Vinarice began to make significant progress. In 2018, the company invested in transportation and signed a cooperation agreement with Loc Troi Group, bringing the Hat Ngoc Troi rice brand closer to consumers nationwide. To date, Vinarice has been among the top distributors with the highest output of this group.
In 2019, Vinarice cooperated with Vietnam Seed Group to distribute Vinaseed bagged rice products.
In 2020, the company became the official distributor of Ong Cua ST25 rice in Ho Chi Minh City, affirming its position in the field of high-quality rice distribution.
Besides, Vinarice also cooperates with many famous rice brands such as Ong Tho, AAN, Neptune to diversify products, meeting the increasing demand of the market.
Not only a distributor, Vinarice has invested in research and development of its own branded rice products to meet the diverse needs of consumers. Notable products include: ST25 Lua Tom Rice, Xuan Nguyen Rice, Mekong Specialty Rice, Kampot Specialty Rice, Angkor Specialty Rice (5kg bag). In addition, there are products specifically for kitchens/restaurants: Rice For Restaurant (25kg bag); Products in 2kg paper bags: Hong An Organic Rice, ST25 De Nhat Rice, ST25 Fragrant Broken Rice, Golden Goose Specialty Sticky Rice, Golden Flower Sticky Rice.
These products not only affirm their quality but also carry the mission of raising the value of Vietnamese rice in most markets.
During the development process, Vinarice founded the transportation brand GONLE Logistic - Fast Delivery, specializing in providing agricultural product transportation services from factories to stores, supermarkets, restaurants and industrial kitchens. With a team of experienced staff, GONLE Logistic has become an indispensable part of Vinarice's supply chain, contributing to improving the company's business efficiency and service quality.
In 2024, Vinarice made a strong impression with a surge in sales volume, doubling revenue compared to 2023. Vinarice branded bagged rice products have become the top choice of consumers at SENDO FARM. In particular, Xuan Nguyen Rice is among the best-selling products. This is a clear testament to the tireless efforts of the entire Vinarice team, from production, operation, to distribution.
Through 10 years of persistent efforts, Vinarice has not only built a prestigious rice brand but also created a team of young, dynamic and dedicated employees.
