Trang An Hot Air Balloon Festival

NDO - On October 26, at Trang An Cultural Park, Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh province held the opening ceremony of the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024 with the theme "The beauty of the ancient capital".

This is one of the activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage (2014-2024).

The Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2024 will be held at only one location, Trang An Cultural Park, Ninh Binh City.

The Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024 is held for the first time in Ninh Binh this year, with a scale of 35 hot air balloons and paragliders (12 hot air balloons and 23 paragliders) of various sizes and shapes controlled by foreign pilots and the Hanoi City Paragliding Club.

Locals and tourists can admire and experience hot air ballooning from 7am to 9am and from 4:30pm to 9pm on festival days. This is also a fairly new activity, so ensuring security and safety is a top priority for Ninh Binh tourism industry.

Within the framework of the Festival, many activities take place such as: hot air balloon light shows, art programs; product displays, OCOP specialties of regions...

This event aims to create new, modern, unique tourism products, interesting experiences, contributing to diversifying tourism products, creating attractiveness, attracting a large number of people, domestic and international tourists. At the same time, promoting the image of the tourism destination brand, culture, people, potential, advantages to develop Ninh Binh into a national and international tourism center and a destination for festivals in all four seasons.

According to Director of Ninh Binh Department of Tourism Bui Van Manh, through the Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring to the people and visitors new, impressive experiences, interesting and unforgettable feelings when admiring from above the space, beautiful and majestic landscape of Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage; Hoa Lu city - the future millennium heritage city.

In addition, visitors can also immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of exciting and attractive music and art parties; explore and learn about the unique culinary culture of Ninh Binh province, enjoy dishes with the unique flavors of the ancient capital and visit and experience new resort tourism services, explore famous tourist destinations of Ninh Binh.

The festival takes place from October 26-29.
