On March 21, information from the People's Committee of Cam Pha City (Quang Ninh) said that the locality has requested the enterprise managing the cave system in Bai Tu Long Bay belonging to the Vung Duc Historical and Scenic Area to demolish illegal toilets, move all tables and chairs, and temporarily stop organizing illegal events here.

After Thanh Nien Newspaper published a series of articles about the cave in Bai Tu Long Bay being turned into a restaurant, on March 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province chaired and coordinated with the People's Committee of Cam Pha City and related units to inspect, review and verify information reported by the press on the management of relics and business activities serving tourists at the Vung Duc relic and scenic area.

After the inspection, Cam Pha City People's Committee requested Vung Duc Tourism Company Limited - the unit managing the cave system here - not to organize events in the cave without approval from the competent authority.
The company proceeded to demolish the toilet.

In particular, this enterprise must dismantle the toilet construction, move tables and chairs, stage frames... out of Bat Cave.
Currently, Vung Duc Tourism Company Limited is demolishing all the toilets inside, moving equipment, tables, chairs, stage frames, toilets out of Bat Cave; no longer organizing events in the cave to avoid affecting the environment, landscape of the relic and scenic area of Vung Duc.

Speaking to Thanh Nien reporters, a leader of Quang Ninh province said that the locality will assign functional agencies to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the management of the historical relic and scenic complex of Vung Duc; at the same time, it will strictly handle organizations and individuals when violations are discovered.
