NDO - Statistics from Bach Mai Hospital show that only about 15% of patients who come for medical examination and treatment every day have registered in advance. Without registration, patients waste time waiting, while the hospital is passive in preparing human resources and equipment.
On average, Bach Mai Hospital receives and treats about 6,000 to 8,000 patients per day. According to statistics, there are currently only about 1,000 people per day, accounting for about 15% of patients who register before coming for medical examination and treatment via the Bach Mai Care App, service switchboard, and website.
Of the three registration methods mentioned above, the most convenient is the registration method via the Bach Mai care app on smartphones. Patients do not have to wait long and can monitor the medical examination process. The system automatically reminds patients of their appointments, helping them not to miss important examinations.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, because most patients come for medical examination without prior appointment, the service is often passive in terms of human resources as well as equipment arrangement. 80% of patients coming for medical examination at Bach Mai Hospital come from localities outside Hanoi, so they often come to the hospital very early, leading to local congestion in the mornings from Monday to Friday every week.
Many advanced techniques are deployed to serve the examination and treatment of patients. |
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap said that in the coming time, Bach Mai Hospital will continue to improve the medical examination and treatment process to better serve the people. At the same time, it will promote the application of technology and digital transformation to help patients save time, reduce cumbersome procedures and improve the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment...
In particular, the hospital encourages people to change their habits, instead of going early and queuing for a number, they should make an appointment in advance via phone, website, or application to choose a suitable date and time, avoiding long waiting lines. On the other hand, it helps the hospital reduce the load on the reception area; arrange human resources and equipment appropriately to examine and serve patients better.
In order to provide maximum support to people who want to see a doctor without affecting their work during office hours, from August 1, 2024, Bach Mai Hospital will organize medical examination and treatment outside of office hours, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and Sundays.
This activity is fully reported to the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Social Security Agency, so all patients with health insurance cards will enjoy all health insurance benefits.
Bach Mai Hospital's Service Call Center system is always ready to support people in consulting and registering for medical examination and treatment. |
Preliminary statistics show that on average, the hospital receives about 200 to 300 patients each day during non-business hours. Feedback from patients when receiving medical examination and treatment outside of business hours shows that this is a correct policy, helping people in the capital, as well as those in neighboring areas who cannot arrange time during business hours, to still access and receive medical examination at a special-class hospital with leading experts.
Up to now, 2,000 officers and employees of Bach Mai Hospital have voluntarily participated in medical examination and treatment outside of working hours.
