Kinhtedothi - The eco-tourism project at Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve has a total investment of more than 526 billion VND, divided into 6 tourism development sub-zones.
The ecotourism project at Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve was approved in 2021, with a total investment of 370 billion VND. However, up to now, the project is no longer suitable, and some important contents need to be adjusted to be consistent with the Planning of Hau Giang province, creating conditions for investors to explore and exploit, turning this place into a unique tourism product.
According to the proposed adjustment, the project name is changed to the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve Eco-tourism and Recreation Project.
The project is divided into 6 tourism development sub-areas including: Environmental education and service center; Comprehensive tourism service center; Lung Sen and Lung Lon points; forest park; Lung Ngoc Hoang entertainment and environmental interpretation area; Lung Ngoc Hoang ecological resort.
The total expected investment of the project is more than 526 billion VND (higher than the initial total investment of 180 billion VND), from the provincial budget and socialized capital.
The project adjustment also fully updates new regulations on land and forest exploitation accurately, with the goal of building this place into a sustainable, responsible and professional model, planning each sub-zone for exploiting tourism products suitable for forest conservation and development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee requested that the assigned agencies continue to complete the project within this March to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of project adjustment.
In particular, it is necessary to clearly identify each sub-area to be exploited in stages, the investment capital of the project and pay attention to adding an assessment of the tourism infrastructure of the whole province, research on tourism product positioning, investment resource structure and have a clear assessment of each stage in a specific manner, with high feasibility, and appropriate implementation time so that when the project is adjusted, it will open up more new opportunities for investors.
Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, covering an area of 2,800 hectares, located in Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province, is a typical wetland of the West Hau River region, known as the "green lung" of the Mekong Delta.
This is a place to preserve unique natural habitats, biodiversity, and habitat for indigenous species, endemic and rare animals and plants, some of which are listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world.
