Since 1963, the headquarters of the old Tam Ky City Party Committee moved to Da En Pass by the Mui - Da Chat Waterfall (now part of Phu Ninh Lake) to facilitate the direction of fighting the enemy. The base area was repeatedly swept by the enemy, but thanks to its rugged terrain, easy to avoid, and close to important traffic routes, the leaders of the Tam Ky Party Committee could easily retreat into the mountains and forests to ensure safety.
Besides, the people around the base area wholeheartedly helped the revolution, creating all conditions for the Tam Ky City Party Committee to lead the political struggle and a series of uprisings and attacks, leading to the complete liberation of Tam Ky town on March 24, 1975.
At the memorial service, leaders of Tam Ky City and Phu Ninh District and officers and soldiers of the Tam Ky Town Cadres and Soldiers Liaison Committee during the anti-American war offered incense and laid wreaths in memory of the people, officers and soldiers who heroically sacrificed their lives on the land of the former revolutionary base.
