Recently, a woman in the province was fortunately rescued in a human trafficking case from Myanmar to Vietnam safely, once again sounding the alarm bell for people against the "easy work, high salary" scam of criminals.
Accordingly, from the introduction of an acquaintance, the female victim (residing in Quang Trung ward, Kon Tum city) agreed to go to Laos to work at a drinking place with a salary of 15-20 million VND/month. However, contrary to the initial invitation, the victim was tricked into being sold to a brothel in Myanmar. Fortunately, through professional measures, the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes (Provincial Police) coordinated with a non-governmental organization to successfully rescue and bring the victim back to Vietnam safely.
The “easy work, high salary” trap is not a new phenomenon in the province. Recalling this time last year, because of listening to the sweet words of scammers, many people crossed the border to Cambodia to work in order to do “easy work, high salary”. In a foreign land, there was no easy work, nor high salary as invited, the dream did not come true, they had to gamble their lives, find a way to cross the border to escape back to their hometown. At that time, together with the authorities, the Provincial Police spoke up, communicated, and warned about this issue. Yet until now, there are still new victims who have “fallen into the trap”.

In fact, many poor workers, after going abroad to work officially (through organizations and units licensed by the state), have had stable jobs according to the signed contract. Not only accumulating capital from legitimate sources of income, workers also send money back to build houses and improve their family's life. In particular, after the end of the contract, returning to their hometown, they have capital to do business, develop the family economy, and even actively support the locality to carry out welfare projects.
Proactively keeping up with the trends of the international labor market, in our province, the authorities also focus on sending trained workers to work abroad, in order to improve the efficiency of labor export as well as help workers increase their income and stabilize their lives. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has also advised the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation plan of Plan No. 90-KH/TU dated April 3, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Directive No. 20-CT/TW dated December 12, 2022 of the Central Party Secretariat on sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad in the new situation. And in the first 6 months of this year, there were 19 workers going to work abroad under contracts.
In addition to licensed companies and units, in order to make a profit, many scammers have "painted" a beautiful vision to attract and entice gullible, gullible, and ignorant people to work abroad. The stories of scammers paint beautiful visions, but the reality is completely opposite. Accordingly, those who are lured and enticed have to suffer many consequences, the unfortunate incident that happened further confirms that illegal exit, voluntarily going to work abroad without following a licensed organization or individual has never been the path to the "promised land".
Everyone wants to have a stable job to take care of their family. However, do not rush to believe in invitations and promises of high-income jobs from people you know online or have just met. In particular, you should not run away from home or leave home to work without careful investigation. Because if you are unlucky enough to fall into the hands of criminals, you will suffer many consequences, causing your family to worry as well as the authorities to have a hard time searching and rescuing you.
The dream of going abroad has been shattered by the lure and fraud of "easy work, high salary" by criminals. If you intend to go abroad to work, you need to carefully research related information, consult with authorities and your family about the place of work, specific work, expected time of departure, and expected return to the country to avoid falling into the hands of human traffickers. There will be no easy job, requiring little qualifications but "high salary". Therefore, everyone should be vigilant against the tricks of human traffickers to avoid paying a very high price from the lure of "easy work, high salary".
