Pu Ta Leng - "a paradise in the Northwest mountains and forests" is becoming more and more brilliant these days when the green of the old forests, covered with moss, is decorated with patches of rhododendron flowers in full bloom. Along the mountain trails, groups of tourists from all over the country are tirelessly conquering the journey, with the desire to explore their own limits and witness the beauty of the flower known as the "flower queen of the Northwest mountains and forests".

Tourist Nguyen Thi Thuy from Bac Giang province said that joining the tour to explore Pu Ta Leng peak during the azalea flower season was truly a memorable experience. The journey up and down the mountain not only allowed her to admire the beautiful scenery of the wild mountains and forests, but when she set foot on the third highest mountain peak in Vietnam, at an altitude of over 3,000m, all the tiredness and worries of everyday life seemed to disappear. "The mountain road here is quite difficult to travel and the route is quite long, but the scenery is more beautiful. I like the feeling of conquering. Now is the azalea flower season, everyone should come here and admire this beautiful flower."

To reach the top of Pu Ta Leng mountain to see the flowers, visitors must cross primeval forests with hundreds of years old trees, facing the challenge of dangerous, rugged trails with steep rocks on the cliffs.

Mr. Bui Trung Kien - a tourist from Hanoi shared that although the road is challenging, visitors will be rewarded with wild and majestic landscapes of the mountains and forests and immersed in the drifting clouds. It takes almost a day of climbing to reach the flower viewing spot. The colorful rhododendron patches open before the eyes as if taking visitors into a magical world, a fairyland - where the sophistication of nature is most wonderfully present.

Pu Ta Leng Mountain Forest is a place with a harsh climate, almost all year round covered in clouds, but here, the beautiful rhododendron flowers still bloom every year. The rhododendron flowers start blooming from February and end in early May. When admiring the rhododendrons, visitors will see the freshness, especially the resilience of this flower in the face of harsh nature.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - PU Lai Chau Trading and Tourism Company Limited - the unit operating the tour to explore Pu Ta Leng mountain peak said: "Mountain climbing tourism brings many experiences that tourists can feel, that is, finding their own abilities and limits. Secondly, tourists return to nature, protect nature and "forest bathing" to experience the feeling of being healed by nature".

There are about 30 species of rhododendrons scattered throughout the forests of the Northwest, but the most prominent in Pu Ta Leng are the pinkish purple rhododendrons. The rhododendrons can grow up to 7m tall, reaching out from the dense forest to catch the wind and sunlight in the wild mountains.

Coming to Pu Ta Leng this season, seeing the blooming rhododendrons, anyone will feel excited and motivated, thereby being recharged with energy in life.
