Promoting the role of a bridge between the Party Committee, government and people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of Lai Chau province has strengthened its grasp of people's thoughts and aspirations, gathered and united people of all ethnic groups, paid attention to building and promoting the role of prestigious people, contributing to firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc.
In recent years, the work of grasping the situation and people's thoughts has been paid attention to by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of Lai Chau province, gradually becoming routine, through many effective and practical forms, thereby proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, periodically every 3 months collecting opinions, recommendations and reflections of the people to Party and State agencies.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Lai Chau province also regularly coordinates with member organizations to contribute ideas in many forms, with hundreds of opinions to Party committees and authorities on issues directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people.
In Than Uyen district, every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district focuses on coordinating to organize meetings and dialogues between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people, and organizing for National Assembly deputies and district People's Council deputies to conduct meetings with voters.
After each voter meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district compiles a report summarizing voters' opinions and recommendations and sends it to competent authorities for consideration and resolution. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Than Uyen district Lo Van Tuyen said that in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district coordinated to organize many dialogues between the heads of the Party Committees and district authorities with the people. Some opinions and recommendations of voters were received and responded to directly by the district People's Council delegates, leaders of the district People's Committee, communes and towns at the conference, and voters highly agreed.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lai Chau province continue to promote the work of gathering and uniting ethnic minorities, paying attention to building and promoting the role of village elders, clan leaders, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities in propagating and mobilizing descendants in the clan and people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially in participating in building new rural areas, protecting the environment, responding to climate change, campaigns, and patriotic emulation movements.
For example, in Tam Duong district, with 126 prominent prestigious people, in recent years, thanks to the good promotion of the role of prestigious people in the community, the strength of the whole people has been mobilized in economic development, poverty reduction, especially in maintaining security and order, building new rural areas; proactively participating in promptly resolving problems at the grassroots level, not allowing hot spots to occur. Prestigious people, village elders, and clan leaders have done a good job of two-way communication between the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations to grasp the situation among the people in the village, implementing well the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", contributing to stabilizing the situation, maintaining security and social order in the area.
Ms. Dao Thi Thiep - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province said that in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Lai Chau province will continue to innovate and improve the quality of propaganda work, mobilizing people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, strengthen and promote the strength of great solidarity among ethnic groups, creating a strong relationship between the Party and the people.
At the same time, coordinate to grasp the situation of residential areas, recommend competent authorities to promptly resolve problems arising at the grassroots level, contribute to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and actively participate in successfully implementing the socio-economic development targets and tasks of the province.
