Up to this point, even though the movie "Den Am Hon" has withdrawn from the box office race, it is still a big hit with a revenue of up to 106 billion VND. To achieve this victory, in addition to exploiting the spiritual theme based on Vietnamese folk culture, one of the plus points of "Den Am Hon" is the carefully invested images, majestic and beautiful natural setting. In particular, most of the movie was filmed at Co La waterfall located in Chi Vien commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province. For a long time, Co La has been likened to a watercolor painting with a waterfall that creates white foam, sometimes noisy, sometimes melodious. Along with Ban Gioc waterfall, Co La waterfall is an attractive tourist destination for those who love the pristine, majestic beauty of mountains, forests and waterfalls. Along with Co La, Am The cave - a natural cave with a very small entrance was also chosen to create a mysterious look for the movie.

Many viewers watching the film could not help but admire the beautiful natural scenery of Cao Bang. According to director Hoang Nam, not only in Vietnam but also filmmakers around the world want to exploit beautiful landscapes to introduce to everyone through cinema. And many places have become famous tourist check-in spots after the film was broadcast.

Similar to “The Ghost Lamp”, one of the factors that contributed to the success of the film “Tet in Hell Village” (directed by Tran Huu Tan) is the setting. The film was filmed in Sao Ha village, Van Chai commune, Dong Van district (Ha Giang) with extremely beautiful natural scenery. It is worth the filmmaker’s effort to find it, Hao Sa village is located about 20km from the center of Dong Van district (Ha Giang) and has a pristine and peaceful beauty like a fairy tale.

There are rammed earth houses with yin-yang tiled roofs covered in moss and time, sturdy stone fences, hidden in the primeval forest, giving people a feeling of both poetry and mystery. The life of the villagers is simple and modest, mainly self-sufficient. They grow flax, corn, mustard greens, raise goats, and weave by hand. And all of this is in the film, beautiful and poetic like a fairy tale.

Since Hao Sa appeared in the movie “Tet in Hell Village”, the village has suddenly become famous, becoming a destination that attracts many tourists. The most popular time is after Tet, when the whole village is brilliant with the bright colors of peach blossoms, lush green mustard gardens growing in the rocks, and innocent smiles under the spring sunshine like an invisible attraction…

The directors' choice of beautiful natural landscapes to put in their films not only helps the audience to be satisfied with the visuals but is also an effective way to promote tourism. This has been clearly demonstrated through films such as "Pao's Story", "Kong- Skull Island", "Tet in Hell Village"... and not to mention "Love Journey of a Tourist" filmed by Netflix in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An (Quang Nam) and Ha Giang. In just 2 weeks after its release, the film rose to No. 1 in the global top 10 for English films with 20.92 million viewing hours; entered the top 10 most watched films in Vietnam as well as in 89 countries on Netflix's platform. Immediately afterwards, several international newspapers commented that this was the perfect promotional film for Vietnam tourism, giving the audience a new perspective on a beautiful, attractive country with natural beauty, unique culture and friendly people.

As Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong shared, cinema is a genre with strong advantages, the pervasive nature, wide coverage of films, or prestigious cinema events are advantages to promote and stimulate tourism.
