Consultation elected 397 members to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term

This afternoon, October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) organized for delegates to participate in discussions at 5 Discussion Centers.

At the Centers, delegates focused on giving opinions on the following contents: title of the report, motto of the Congress; assessment and supplementation of the situation of the great national unity bloc; analysis and assessment to supplement and emphasize more the achievements of the Front's work in the 2024-2029 term; challenges and issues arising in gathering and promoting the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc in the coming time; directions, goals, 10 targets, 6 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the next term, in which the Congress was requested to discuss in more depth the content of the targets, Program 4 "Promoting the role of mastery, self-management of the People, building a united, prosperous and happy residential area".

At the same time, the delegates also proposed tasks and solutions to effectively carry out the tasks of the Front in the coming term; proposed and recommended contents to promote the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc; proposed and recommended contents to promote the role, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the coming time; proposed and recommended to the Party and State.

In particular, the Congress conducted consultations to elect the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.

In which, the Congress approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024-2029, including 405 members, the Presidium including 72 members, the Standing Committee including 6 members, and the non-professional Vice Chairmen including 8 members.

In which, the composition structure includes: (1) 51 heads of member organizations (an increase of 4 compared to the 9th term); (2) 63 Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities (equal to the 9th term); (3) 273 outstanding individuals (an increase of 15), specifically: 81 intellectuals and experts in various fields (an increase of 7); workers, farmers, armed forces, island districts: 18 (equal to the 9th term); representatives of ethnic minorities: 53 (equal to the 9th term), a structure that fully represents 53 ethnic minorities; representatives of religious dignitaries: 53 (equal to the 9th term), a structure that fully represents 16 religions and religious organizations with many followers that have been recognized by the State; representatives of economic sectors: 50 (an increase of 7); Vietnamese people residing abroad: 18 (increased by 1), the structure of Vietnamese people residing abroad represents 5 continents;

(4) Full-time staff of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: 18 (an increase of 1), specifically: Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: 6 (equal to the 9th term); heads of departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: 12 (an increase of 1), with a full structure of 10 departments, specialized units and 2 public service units (Center for Cadre Training and Scientific Research of the Front, Front Magazine).

Combined structure: Non-Party members are 203 (50.1%); women are 89 (21.9%); ethnic minorities are 103 (25.4%); religious members are 69 (17%); university degree or higher is 327 (80.7%).

By age: 43 people under 40 years old (10.8%); 190 people between 41 and 60 years old (47.9%); 164 people over 61 years old (41.3%).

In particular, at the Congress, 397 members were elected to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029. Late this afternoon, the first meeting of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029 took place.

Tomorrow, October 18, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, will hold its closing session.
