Hanoi Children's Palace is one of the key projects of Hanoi invested in the period of 2020-2025 with the goal of becoming a major political activity place for children in the capital and the country. It is even more meaningful when the project is completed and inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
On September 21, the Hanoi People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of the Hanoi Children's Palace (in My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem District) and installed a signboard as a city-level project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen stated that for many generations of children in the capital, the Hanoi Children's Palace is a familiar and beloved destination, becoming a "beautiful childhood memory", a place to nurture artistic talents of the capital as well as the whole country. Respecting historical values, and at the same time, to meet the needs of development and integration, Hanoi City has decided to invest in the construction of the Hanoi Children's Palace project in Nam Tu Liem district with equipment invested according to modern standards and regulations.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee believes that with a new look and modern, spacious architecture, close to nature, using many smart, high-quality devices, the Hanoi Children's Palace will promote its role as a cultural and sports center, meeting the needs of living, studying, playing, competing in sports and physical training for children, thereby creating a favorable environment to nurture and develop future talents for the city. At the same time, continuing to innovate, making breakthroughs in quality, meeting social needs, contributing to comprehensive education for the young generations of the Capital, worthy of being "a place to foster dreams for children to fly far".
The Hanoi Children's Palace project has a total area of nearly 40,000m², with a construction floor area of about 10,280m², including items such as: 800-seat theater, 3D - 4D cinema (200 seats), 500-seat gymnasium, 10-lane swimming pool, classrooms and library, astronomy tower and administrative - office block...
The project has a total investment of more than 1,376 billion VND. The highlight of the project is Area B with an 18-storey, 68m high Astronomical Tower, inside there is a system of binoculars and telescopes.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai awarded Certificates of Merit of Hanoi People's Committee to individuals with outstanding achievements in directing and implementing the project of building Hanoi Children's Palace.
Up to now, Hanoi has nearly 400 cultural and sports institutions, 30 districts and towns have Cultural, Information and Sports Centers with nearly 90 projects and nearly 90% of facilities in residential areas have community activity points.
The system of cultural and sports institutions at all levels is being focused on investment and development in both quality and scale, associated with rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, contributing to improving the local cultural appearance as well as the quality of life and the need to enjoy material and spiritual values of the people of the capital.
