(GLO)- On the morning of June 27, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ia Grai district (Gia Lai province) held its 4th Congress (term 2023-2028) with the participation of 50 delegates.
Up to now, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ia Grai district has 5 grassroots organizations with 182 members, (of which 139 people participated in the resistance war and were infected with toxic chemicals). During the 2018-2023 term, the Association has mobilized funds with an amount of over 400 million VND, supported the construction of a house for a victim's family with an amount of 120 million VND; visited and presented thousands of gifts to victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the district on holidays and Tet...
In addition, the District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin also calls on benefactors and philanthropists to provide material and spiritual support to create conditions for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and their families to stabilize their lives.

The Congress elected 13 delegates to the Executive Committee; elected the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the District Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (term 2023-2028).
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Ia Grai District People's Committee presented certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the association's activities. The Gia Lai Province Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented certificates of merit to 3 groups with many contributions and assistance to Agent Orange victims. On this occasion, Ngoc Dao Electronics (Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district) presented 17 gifts to 17 Agent Orange victims; Son Huyen Phat Gia Lai One Member Co., Ltd. contributed 5 million VND to the fund.
